"Lonely Together" represents the era in which it was born. The lonliest and coldest months during the lonliest year many have experienced. This painting was started November 25, 2020 and was completed January 7, 2021.

On the surface aspen trees appear to be their own tree with their own root system, when in fact they are actually part of the same root system. One genetic individual, all interconnected below the surface. If you are a human being then the fact of the matter is that you need other humans. There is nobody that is an exception to this rule of life.

Lonliness hit hard this year. I see the eyeballs all over the aspen trees with a variety of emotions, just staring at each other in silence. Connected and disconnected. Same but different. I could go on and on but I think this one speaks for itself.
